Our 2019 Constitution and Me program was a great success. In that year, VCLF also gave out numerous general scholarships to deserving students. Here are some letters from students who received Constitution and Me essay prizes or general scholarships, or sometimes both!
Dear Valley Community Legal Foundation,
I wanted to personally thank you for so generously awarding me with $1900. I received $400 from the Constitution and Me outstanding essay scholarship, and $1500 for the Student of Distinction Scholarship. I was completely caught off guard when I heard my name called!
During the Constitution and Me Program, I had so much fun with Judge Yaroslavsky deciding on our court cases, as well as speaking at Judges’ Night. Although it was nerve wracking at first, after I networked with so many judges, I began to feel comfortable in a completely new environment to me. I also wanted to thank you for that experience. Participating in Judges’ Night provided me with invaluable experience in developing my social networking skills within the political science/law field.
